Lead AI Engineer / Senior AI Engineer

AI.IMPACT is an AI consulting firm in Hamburg helping European companies introduce AI from strategy to production. We're hiring a Senior or Lead AI Engineer to design and build intelligent, multi-agent capabilities for enterprise applications.

What you'll do:

• Design and build LLM-based applications and RAG pipelines, bringing together vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search
• Create AI-driven agents and automations that simplify and accelerate customer workflows across CRMs and ERPs
• Embed AI capabilities into existing cloud-native architectures with focus on security and scalability
• Collaborate cross-functionally and provide client advisory on AI strategy

Requirements:

• 4+ years in software engineering or AI with production shipping experience
• Deep expertise in LLMs, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation
• Hands-on experience with agentic systems and multi-agent orchestration
• Strong Python proficiency; JavaScript/TypeScript/Java/Kotlin is a plus
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Pinecone, or Weaviate
• Cloud infrastructure knowledge (Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
• German and English fluency
• Based in Hamburg, able to work in person

Salary range: €60,000–€110,000/year.
