Senior Machine Learning Engineer I - GenAI Applications

This role is within the GenAI Applications Team in Data & AI Marketplace at Booking.com. The team designs and delivers agentic, ML-powered solutions for travel products including booking search, trip planning, and trip helpfulness features. The team builds end-user GenAI applications and conversational agents on a shared multi-agent backbone.

The mission is to standardize GenAI flows on a unified agentic architecture, democratize access to in-house LLMs and agents fine-tuned on Booking data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploying scalable ML models for generative AI applications including chatbots and intelligent assistants
• Developing and integrating models into production systems
• End-to-end service ownership with performance monitoring
• Cross-functional collaboration with product, data science, and engineering teams
• Building conversational agents and AI-driven applications using GPT variants and similar transformer architectures

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years as ML Engineer
• Programming: Python, Java
• ML Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn
• Cloud: AWS SageMaker
• Big Data: PySpark, Apache Flink, Snowflake
• Databases: MySQL, Cassandra, DynamoDB
• Experience deploying large-scale language models
