Senior Machine Learning Engineer - AI Teams

Doctolib's AI Teams develop AI solutions for healthcare patient solutions. This role focuses on building retrieval systems, LLM/VLM applications, and agentic AI to improve patient access to practitioners and care management.

Responsibilities

• Build retrieval systems: hybrid search (sparse + dense), large-scale embeddings and vector databases, multi-stage retrieval and re-ranking pipelines, RAG architectures
• Develop LLM/VLM applications: fine-tuning, Mixture-of-Experts architectures, knowledge distillation, prompt engineering and tool use
• Build and orchestrate agents on top of Google ADK
• Design RAG architectures and retrieval pipelines on multimodal use cases
• Deploy production ML models at scale
• Use experimentation tools: Weights & Biases, MLFlow, or Braintrust

Requirements

• 7+ years in ML/Deep Learning/AI Engineering
• Production-scale model deployment experience
• Information retrieval and modern retrieval stacks expertise
• LLM/VLM application development proficiency
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI (e.g. building and orchestrating agents on top of ADK)
• Scientific rigor in benchmarking and metrics design

Location: Paris (Levallois Perret office). Hybrid: 3 days/week in office. Permanent, full-time.
