Senior Data Scientist (m/f/d)

EGYM is developing machine learning solutions for EGYM Genius, the personalized training plan engine.

Responsibilities:

• Build ML models using training and health data to support effective workouts
• Analyze complex datasets and validate hypotheses
• Design LLM-based components and agents that orchestrate multi-step workflows
• Establish evaluation pipelines for LLM features with golden datasets and human evaluations
• Work with local/open-source models, balancing quality, latency, and cost
• Collaborate with Software Engineering and Product Management
• Monitor AI/ML advancements to maintain state-of-the-art solutions

Requirements:

• 5+ years delivering ML-based solutions (personalization, recommender systems preferred)
• Production-ready Python programming
• SQL and NoSQL database proficiency
• Strong ML fundamentals with hands-on LLM experience
• Prompt design, retrieval, tool use, and multi-step flow expertise
• Ability to combine classical ML and LLM approaches
• Clear communication and end-to-end ownership
