AI Engineer

Fastino seeks an AI Engineer to help develop next-generation language models. The team includes alumni from Google Research, Apple, Stanford, and Cambridge. Their GLiNER models have surpassed 5 million downloads and are adopted by NVIDIA, Meta, and Airbnb. The company raised $25M in seed funding backed by Microsoft and Khosla Ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design high-performance agentic systems leveraging optimized model architectures
• Translate research breakthroughs into scalable, low-latency enterprise solutions
• Prototype AI features with iterative refinement based on real-world performance data
• Manage inference pipeline stability and throughput at scale
• Develop data and fine-tuning strategies for domain-specific model reliability

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years hands-on AI/ML engineering experience
• Demonstrated LLM proficiency and problem-solving with complex, unstructured data
• Comfortable working across the stack from prompt engineering and vector DB tuning to Kubernetes deployment

Optional Qualifications:

• High-concurrency agentic microservices experience
• GLiNER or information extraction architecture familiarity
