About the Role
JetBrains is hiring an AI Engineer (Core Engine) to design agentic tools and semantic search services for code retrieval at scale. You will build services and agentic tools that provide AI coding agents with deeper context, translate product needs into production services, scale prototypes, and build evaluation pipelines for retrieval performance.
What you'll do

- Build evaluation pipelines for retrieval performance
- Scale prototypes into production-grade services
Requirements
- 5+ years NLP and information retrieval experience
- Strong experience in LLM prompt and tool engineering, as well as AI agents
- Python and/or Kotlin proficiency
- Code intelligence experience (AST, symbol graphs) is a plus
Locations include Warsaw, Madrid, Prague, Belgrade, Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam, Limassol, Paphos, Yerevan. Relocation discussions are available.
