About the Role
Klaviyo is hiring an AI Engineer I (campus/entry-level) in Boston to build AI agents that power marketing automation for 183K+ customers.
What you'll do:
- Design backend systems supporting AI solutions at scale
- Develop production-grade services for deploying AI models
- Develop AI agents that can automatically create and execute marketing or customer experiences, strategies, and campaigns
- Contribute to agentic architecture evolution for improved self-sufficiency
- Create human and automated evaluations for AI model quality assurance
- Collaborate with product, ML, and software engineering teams
- Monitor emerging AI trends and identify implementation opportunities
What we're looking for:
- Pursuing advanced degree (CS, AI, ML, or related) graduating Dec 2025 or May/June 2026
- Previous internship in AI/ML with production deployment experience
- Python proficiency with FastAPI or Django
- Experience building and deploying generative AI and agentic systems
- Demonstrated ability in human and automated evals for model quality
Nice-to-have:
- ML model training and production deployment experience
- Reinforcement learning background
- Large-scale data processing (Spark)
- Backend systems at scale
Location: Boston, MA (3 days/week onsite)
Salary: $104,000 - $156,000 USD
Visa sponsorship available: F-1 Form I-983, H-1B, O-1, E-3, TN status options.
