About the Role
Munich Re is hiring a Data Scientist / AI Engineer to serve as technical lead for cross-functional GenAI/ML projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead for cross-functional GenAI/ML projects
- Build AI capabilities and infrastructure
- Support business units in applying latest AI methods
- Communicate complex concepts to stakeholders
- Identify AI innovations
- Ensure technical excellence
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Statistics
- Extensive expertise in GenAI and deep learning
- 3+ years professional AI/ML experience
- Proficiency in coding (Python)
- AI/ML frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, JAX)
- Large Language Models (LLMs) and LLM Applications (like Agentic/Agent setups)
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms and AI infrastructure (e.g., Azure, Databricks, Kubernetes)
- Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Project management in AI/Data Science/Research environments
- Strong communication skills
