About the Role
Nordea is looking for an innovative and collaborative Lead AI Engineer to join their AI Innovation team, designing and building scalable AI solutions focusing on Agentic AI applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and scale transformative AI applications from concept to production
- Build generative AI applications solving meaningful problems across the organization
- Connect AI systems with vector databases, APIs and existing systems to build cohesive solutions
- Explore emerging AI tools and frameworks; develop proof-of-concepts
- Translate business needs into practical AI solutions with engineering and product teams
- Champion ethical, safe and sustainable AI practices
Required Skills & Experience
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- 5-7+ years architecting and deploying applications/AI-ML in production
- Strong Python proficiency and scalable codebase development
- Experience developing Agentic AI systems, including autonomous agents with reasoning, planning and task execution capabilities
- Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) for connecting AI models with external data sources
- Cloud platform expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong communication translating technical concepts for diverse audiences
Ideal Additional Experience
- Agent testing, performance monitoring, and reliability in production
- Technical project leadership and mentoring
- AI agent alignment, safety measures, and ethical deployment
- Regulated industry experience (banking, government)
- EU AI Act and relevant regulations knowledge
