This Role

We are hiring Full Stack Engineers at Senior and Staff levels. As a Full Stack Engineer at Norm AI, you will be integral to the development of our AI-driven compliance solutions. You will work directly with all aspects of our code stack.

Teams

Product Engineering: owns the customer-facing surfaces of Norm's enterprise application: the workflows, UI, and AI-powered features that make our product indispensable to compliance teams.

Legal Engineering Automation Platform (LEAP): LEAP is Norm's proprietary platform for building and configuring AI agents. When a user uploads a document, our agents execute thousands (sometimes tens of thousands) of calls to various language models. LEAP allows subject matter experts to configure our AI to handle a variety of use cases.

As a Full Stack Engineer at Norm AI you will:

• Improve the product (both client-facing enterprise product and internal legal engineering tools)
• Work on scaling problems, ensuring top availability and reliability on a bursty system
• Remain on pace with emerging AI use cases
• Bring product intuition, iterating on customer experience

Skills & Experience - Core:

• Bachelors or Masters in computer science or equivalent practical experience
• 4+ years experience writing application-layer Python for production use
• 2+ years experience writing React + TypeScript for production use
• Experience working with a Postgres database or similar
• Experience writing APIs using FastAPI or similar
• Interest or experience in working with a complex AI-driven product (streamed outputs, dynamic agentic site navigation, etc.)

Pluses:

• Experience dealing with database scaling problems
• Experience building highly configured or abstracted UIs tied to editable schemas
• Experience with AWS infrastructure
• Experience at an early-stage startup
