Senior AI Engineer

Shopfully connects 200 million shoppers with retail deals while supporting hundreds of top retailers and brands. The organization comprises 450 employees across 30 nationalities, emphasizing diversity and innovation through varied perspectives.

This is a greenfield founding role for the first engineer on a brand-new AI-powered application within Shopfully's ecosystem. The position focuses on conversational and agentic interfaces, with direct reporting to the Engineering Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead development from architecture through production deployment
• Design conversational experiences and agentic workflows addressing shopper needs
• Own full-stack integration between LLMs, backend logic, and frontend interfaces
• Establish AI engineering standards for RAG patterns and prompt engineering
• Participate in hiring and mentoring as the team expands
• Influence product strategy through leadership collaboration
• Implement AI-first development workflows using tools like Claude Code

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience building AI-powered products (conversational UIs, agents, LLM applications)
• Full-stack development capabilities across entire product lifecycle
• Expert-level knowledge of LLMs, RAG systems, and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI)
• Product-focused mindset prioritizing user impact and business value
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, undefined environments
• Growth mindset with receptiveness to feedback
• Fluent English for distributed team collaboration

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• AWS stack and serverless architecture experience
• DevOps skills for AI application deployment and monitoring
• E-commerce or high-traffic consumer product background
• Early-stage startup or vanguard team experience

Compensation:

• €80,000 – €100,000 fixed gross annual salary
