About the Role
YLD is a software engineering and design consultancy with offices in London, Lisbon, and Porto. As an AI Engineer, you will be building new AI-powered features that meet the needs of our clients' customers, as well as improving their Digital Platform with intelligent capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Build new AI-powered features for client platforms
- Design AI model integrations and prompt optimisations
- Work on RAG, embeddings, vector search, prompt engineering
- Design agentic architecture: multi-agent systems, tool orchestration, planning/reasoning frameworks, memory systems, and agent coordination patterns
- Deploy production AI services on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Build APIs and integrations with React or modern UI frameworks
Requirements
- Advanced GenAI/LLM expertise
- Experience with LLM frameworks: LangChain, LlamaIndex, LiteLLM, CrewAI, Mastra
- Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic API integrations
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python
- Experience with vector databases: Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, Qdrant
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Neo4j
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK
Location: Lisbon, Portugal. Remote-first working environment available.
