About the Role
Confido is developing an AI-native operating system for CPG brands in brick-and-mortar retail with AI agents that automate tedious manual work. Clients include Tropicana, Olipop, Momofuku, Barebells, and Dr Squatch, with 200+ CPG brands managing billions in revenue. Following a $15M Series A with best-in-class growth (5x YoY).
As the Founding Staff ML/AI Engineer, you'll oversee the complete AI/ML lifecycle from research through production deployment and partner directly with leadership on technical strategy.
Potential Projects
1. Building agentic systems for legacy system integration
2. Applying NLP and LLMs to complex document comprehension
3. Developing sales prediction models using advanced ML
4. Implementing anomaly detection in sales data
5. Creating promotion recommendation systems
The platform automates cash application, deduction management, dispute resolution, trade promotion management, demand planning, and retail analytics using AI.
Requirements
- 5+ years applied AI/ML experience (startup experience preferred)
- Strong product mindset bridging AI capabilities with practical applications
- Experience fine-tuning LLMs (Llama, GPT) and designing prompt workflows
- ML systems design expertise and engineering best practices
Onsite in New York, NY. $300,000-$350,000 salary.
