Software Engineer - Full Stack AI (US-Remote)

PerfectServe seeks a Full Stack AI Engineer for their R&D organization to implement artificial intelligence capabilities across their healthcare communications SaaS platform. This core role involves establishing AI architecture standards, shipping production features, and developing governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design AI integration patterns and architecture standards
• Integrate LLM APIs including OpenAI, Anthropic, and AWS Bedrock into production
• Build RAG systems, vector search, and embedding pipelines
• Optimize latency, inference costs, and hallucination safeguards
• Create model evaluation, benchmarking, and observability processes
• Define security controls, usage monitoring, and PHI handling protocols
• Evaluate use cases with Product teams for feasibility and ROI
• Advise leadership on build versus buy decisions

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years software engineering with Python backend expertise
• Production experience with LLM APIs, RAG systems, embeddings, vector databases
• Cloud-native architecture (AWS preferred)
• Background in regulated or security-conscious environments
• Product-oriented systems thinking and executive communication

Salary: $130,000-$170,000 annually
