About the Role
Radical AI is an artificial intelligence company accelerating scientific research & development in materials R&D, leveraging AI and machine learning to pioneer generative materials science.
As a Software Engineer working on the Agent team at Radical, you'll help build and push their AI agent towards scientific superintelligence by designing, building, and maintaining tools the agent can access and operate. These tools include running Bayesian optimization, referencing scientific literature, querying against an internal experimental database, and queueing quantum chemistry simulation workflows.
Key Requirements:
- Have built SDKs and developer tools
- Exposure to scientific computing, quantum chemistry, or ML-in-the-loop pipelines and infrastructure
- Experience working with structured telemetry, logs, or time-series data
- Comfort developing and debugging in hybrid on-prem/cloud environments
- Experience developing and debugging agentic patterns such as multi-agent cooperation, goal decomposition, and context management
Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 plus equity and benefits. Location: New York, NY.
