Founding Product Engineer

Veedma is a telehealth practice for men's hormonal and sexual health. We treat low testosterone, ED, and vitamin D deficiency in men 18 and up, fully online. Cash-pay subscription covers consultations, lab panels twice yearly, prescribed medications, and unlimited messaging. We take an enclomiphene-first approach: most low testosterone is secondary and reversible, so we find the cause and stimulate the body's own production before resorting to TRT.

Founder-led: an MD urologist (CEO) and a software CTO (ex-Yva.ai, acquired by Visier). The platform is AI-native by default. Production calls OpenAI's API from Python, Akute is the EHR, and Stripe handles billing. You'll work directly with both founders every day, with the CTO reviewing your code.

The product is the full patient flow: intake, lab ordering, provider review, prescriptions, messaging, and billing. As Founding Product Engineer you own patient flows, EHR and billing integrations, internal clinical tooling, and the in-product LLM layer. Tech stack is Python, Flask, Postgres, and Celery.

What we're looking for:

• 7-8+ years building production web applications end-to-end, most of them in healthcare (telehealth, EHR, digital therapeutics preferred).
• Production-grade Python skills.
• Demonstrated experience shipping LLM features to real users: production prompt engineering, evaluations, retrieval, structured outputs, and cost/latency budgeting.
• Experience with external integrations: payments, EHR, messaging, or identity.
• Full-stack shipping ability: frontend, backend, migrations, and infrastructure.
• Testing experience on critical code paths.
• Claude Code is your primary tool (6+ months daily; you write skills and wire up MCP servers).
• Healthcare in your background and where you want to stay. AI-native, not AI-curious.

Compensation: $160,000-$200,000 plus 1.0-1.25% equity.

Remote US, async-first with US-hours overlap, full-time.
