About the Role
As a GenAI Engineer in the Data & Analytics team at Vienna Insurance Group, you collaborate with data teams to design maintainable GenAI products for departments and companies across the Group. You design, build and operate LLM-based solutions such as RAG applications, copilots/assistants, agentic workflows, and fine-tuned models. You establish end-to-end LLMOps practices including prompt/model versioning, evaluation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and guardrails.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build and operate LLM-based solutions: RAG applications, copilots/assistants, agentic workflows, and fine-tuned models
- Establish end-to-end LLMOps practices: prompt/model versioning, evaluation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and guardrails
- Deploy GenAI solutions into production for departments and companies across the Group
- Collaborate with data teams to design maintainable GenAI products
Requirements:
- A completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, AI, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong Python proficiency
- Practical experience building LLM applications with RAG, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, evaluation, and tool use/function calling
- Experience with Databricks and/or Azure-based LLM services, vector search, APIs, and deploying GenAI solutions into production
- Understanding of data pipelines, security, governance, and responsible AI considerations
Conditions: Full-time (37.5 hours/week), permanent, hybrid with home-office options. Minimum salary per the collective agreement of EUR 3,668.49 gross per month; actual compensation is market-compliant based on qualifications and experience.
