About the Role

Develop intelligent, robust AI features using Natural Language Processing and generative AI. The role emphasizes technical excellence combined with team leadership responsibility.

Responsibilities

Design and implement NLP workflows and complex AI systems, particularly agent-based architectures (LangChain, LangGraph, PydanticAI)
Develop, evaluate, and optimize chatbots and agent systems aligned with business requirements
Integrate AI features into Python backends (FastAPI, socketio, RabbitMQ) with automated testing
Lead architectural decisions and establish technical standards
Manage 2 direct reports and drive team development (after onboarding)

Requirements

Multiple years developing AI applications (NLP/generative AI focus)
Agent system development experience with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, PydanticAI or comparable
Expertise: semantic search, clustering, RAG, classical ML
Advanced Python + production backend integration (testing included)
Database experience (Postgres, ElasticSearch, vector databases)
Prompt engineering and LLM evaluation skills
First mentoring/leadership experience with intent for management roles
C1+ German proficiency

Tech Stack
Python (primary), spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, PydanticAI, LangGraph, LangChain, scikit-learn, FastAPI, socketio, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, vector databases, SQLAlchemy. Optional: PyTorch, Neo4j, AWS, Azure.
