About the Role

Develop intelligent, robust AI features using Natural Language Processing and generative AI. The role emphasizes technical excellence combined with team leadership responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement NLP workflows and complex AI systems, particularly agent-based architectures (LangChain, LangGraph, PydanticAI)
• Develop, evaluate, and optimize chatbots and agent systems aligned with business requirements
• Integrate AI features into Python backends (FastAPI, socketio, RabbitMQ) with automated testing
• Lead architectural decisions and establish technical standards
• Manage 2 direct reports and drive team development (after onboarding)

Requirements

• Multiple years developing AI applications (NLP/generative AI focus)
• Agent system development experience with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, PydanticAI or comparable
• Expertise: semantic search, clustering, RAG, classical ML
• Advanced Python + production backend integration (testing included)
• Database experience (Postgres, ElasticSearch, vector databases)
• Prompt engineering and LLM evaluation skills
• First mentoring/leadership experience with intent for management roles
• C1+ German proficiency

Python (primary), spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, PydanticAI, LangGraph, LangChain, scikit-learn, FastAPI, socketio, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, vector databases, SQLAlchemy. Optional: PyTorch, Neo4j, AWS, Azure.
