AI Engineer (NLP, RAG)

Andersen Lab is hiring a Senior AI Engineer (NLP, RAG), 100% remote for candidates residing in Mexico (Pacific Time alignment), to build production multi-agent retrieval systems. The role develops GenAI solutions for intelligent document processing, knowledge retrieval, and automation.

Responsibilities:

• Building hierarchical and multi-agent RAG systems with robust orchestration layers (LangChain, LangGraph; LlamaIndex is a plus).
• Applying advanced retrieval and pre-processing/chunking strategies (semantic chunking, late/latent chunking, re-ranking models).
• Ensuring scalability across data sources and defining evaluation metrics.
• Implementing ingestion workflows using Unstructured.io and Pydantic.
• Building and deploying services with Docker, AWS ECS, and Lambda.

Requirements:

• 5+ years hands-on AI/ML engineering with production Python.
• Proven experience with advanced agentic RAG — hierarchical and/or multi-agent architectures.
• Advanced retrieval strategy expertise (semantic chunking, re-ranking).
• Experience with GenAI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, or custom LLM orchestration layers).
• AWS cloud-native development (Docker, ECS, Lambda, Textract, Bedrock); OCR/document intelligence (Azure Document Intelligence).
• Production MCP experience; Upper-Intermediate English minimum.

Desirable: Vision-Language Models, AWS Bedrock (Claude/Sonnet), Azure embeddings, GCP Vertex AI.
