AI Product Engineer | Vertex Inc | Remote (USA) | $104,900-$136,400 + bonus & equity

Vertex is hiring an AI Product Engineer to design, build, and deliver AI-powered enterprise web applications, owning the complete product lifecycle from discovery through deployment. You'll develop domain expertise in enterprise workflows, own end-to-end AI product development, design enterprise web applications, conduct product discovery with users, create AI-native UX patterns that go beyond chat (human-in-the-loop review, decision support, workflow automation, escalation flows), and ship production-grade full-stack applications integrating generative AI/LLMs.

Required Qualifications:

• 0-3 years in AI product engineering, full-stack engineering, or product-focused software roles.
• Experience shipping end-to-end user-facing applications.
• Hands-on generative AI integration into web applications.
• Demonstrated product design experience.
• A portfolio of apps, demos, repos, or case studies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AI-powered enterprise product experience.
• Multi-step, non-linear product design for different user personas.
• Frontend frameworks and UX tools (React, Figma).
• Enterprise SaaS / internal tools, consulting, or customer-facing problem-solving experience.
