We're looking for Staff Product Engineers to join the AI Group to build Fin's AI-powered products. Product Engineers in ML work closely with ML Scientists and product teams, defining new ML features, researching appropriate algorithms and technologies, and rapidly getting first prototypes into customers' hands. This is an extremely product-focused team that ships to beta within weeks of a successful offline test, having productized everything from classic supervised models and unsupervised clustering algorithms to novel applications of transformer neural networks.

What you'll do:

• Build the systems that power Fin's flagship AI products (mostly the ML Python tech stack, at times the Rails app too).
• Work alongside ML Scientists to bring proof-of-concept code to production, robust and scalable for real-world use.
• Partner with product teams to shape the best AI-powered product experience.
• Set technical direction and raise the bar for performance, reliability, and operational excellence across the group.
• Play an active role in hiring, mentoring, and career development of other engineers.
• Contribute across ideation, prototyping, implementation, and testing.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience shipping high-quality products.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Deep knowledge of a high-level language (Python, Ruby, JavaScript, etc.).
• BSc in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or a related field.
• Bias towards progress over perfection.
• No ML experience required (strong software engineering skills are enough).
