Role Overview

As Staff Engineer reporting to the VPE, you'll architect scalable AI foundations, lead critical system rewrites, and establish technical standards. You'll work at the intersection of LLM technology and practical applications, designing the AI leasing agent and self-serve onboarding experiences. Key projects include rebuilding configuration systems, creating analytics infrastructure, and reimagining integration frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Translate customer needs into technical solutions with the product team
• Create intelligent configuration interfaces for AI adaptation
• Design integration frameworks connecting AI with customer systems
• Establish modern engineering practices for an AI-first product
• Implement analytics measuring and improving AI effectiveness
• Lead development of innovative AI-powered features
• Mentor engineers on LLM technologies

Your experience looks like:

• Strong people leadership and bias for action
• Hands-on experience architecting, designing and implementing agentic AI systems
• Strong background in scalable agentic system implementation
• Practical experience with agentic frameworks and LLMs
• Production experience fine-tuning and integrating LLMs
• Track record in fast-paced startups and global collaboration
• Expertise in React and Python or Node.js
• Knowledge of ML, AI, and LLMs
