Reporting to the Data Services Manager, the Lead Agentic AI Engineer will be responsible for defining, architecting, and operationalizing ATI Business Group's Agentic AI ecosystem to accelerate intelligent automation, enhance decision intelligence, and enable AI-driven execution across enterprise workflows.

This role serves as the technical lead for Agentic AI initiatives, driving the design, implementation, governance, and continuous evolution of production-grade AI agents and intelligent systems. You will lead the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs), Mixture of Experts (MoE) models, embedding models, visual models, and enterprise systems to create scalable, secure, and business-impacting AI solutions.

You will establish technical standards, guide AI architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and partner with business stakeholders to identify and deliver high-value AI use cases that improve productivity, operational efficiency, and decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-grade Agentic AI platforms and solutions across ATI Business Group.
Define technical standards, best practices, and governance frameworks for Agentic AI development, deployment, monitoring, and security.
Design and oversee AI agents capable of autonomous reasoning, tool utilization, contextual retrieval, and multi-step workflow execution.
Architect scalable orchestration frameworks using LangGraph, LangChain, PydanticAI, MCP, OpenClaw, OpenCode, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar technologies.
Drive the development and optimization of RAG architectures, embedding strategies, retrieval systems, prompt frameworks, and evaluation methodologies.
Lead the selection, integration, and optimization of LLMs, MoE models, embedding models, and multimodal AI technologies based on business requirements.
Establish AI observability, monitoring, auditability, and governance mechanisms to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant AI operations.
Design and oversee backend services, APIs, and enterprise integrations that enable AI agents to interact securely with internal systems and business applications.
Drive automation initiatives using platforms such as n8n and other workflow orchestration tools, ensuring resilience through robust retry, fallback, and exception-handling strategies.
Lead deployment and operationalization of AI solutions using containerized environments, CI/CD pipelines, and production-grade serving infrastructure.
Partner with Data, Platform, Security, DevOps, and Business stakeholders to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Evaluate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to continuously enhance ATI's AI capabilities and competitive advantage.
Mentor and guide engineers, fostering technical excellence and establishing scalable development practices across the AI function.
Develop AI roadmaps and provide technical leadership for enterprise AI transformation initiatives.
Maintain comprehensive architecture, operational, governance, and deployment documentation for all AI platforms and solutions.

Is this you?

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills, with professional fluency in English.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, platform engineering, or enterprise automation, including at least 3 years working with Generative AI technologies.
Proven experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and driving enterprise-scale AI implementations.
Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, and JavaScript, with extensive experience building production-grade backend systems, APIs, and integrations.
Deep expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG architectures, prompt engineering, AI agent design patterns, and orchestration frameworks.
Proven experience designing and implementing Agentic AI solutions that integrate models with enterprise tools, APIs, databases, and business systems.
Hands-on experience with frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, PydanticAI, MCP, OpenClaw, OpenCode, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent technologies.
Strong understanding of model selection strategies involving LLMs, MoE models, embedding models, and multimodal/visual models.
Experience implementing AI governance, observability, evaluation frameworks, security controls, and responsible AI practices.
Experience deploying and managing AI platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud or on-premise infrastructure.
Familiarity with vector databases, enterprise search platforms, and large-scale retrieval systems.
Experience working with Big Data ecosystems such as Apache NiFi, Hortonworks/Cloudera, Apache Ranger, Spark, or similar technologies.
Strong understanding of data lakehouse architectures and distributed data platforms supporting AI and analytics workloads.
Experience with enterprise AI platforms, API gateways, observability solutions, and private/on-premise AI environments.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate business objectives into scalable AI solutions.
