About the Role

Parloa is hiring a Senior Agent Architect (New York office; remote within USA eligible). The role bridges product implementation and customer success, focusing on conversational AI systems.

About the Role:

Using your expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, NLP & NLU conversational design, and integration platforms, you will craft effective AI workflows and build connections to enterprise systems to ensure quality, performance, and end-to-end operational readiness.

You will design, prototype, and validate conversational solutions for AI agent deployments, including the integration layer that connects Parloa's platform to customers' existing technology stacks.

Areas of ownership:

  • Scope and implement AI Agent deployments with strategic advice and execution support
  • Leverage knowledge of LLM internals (embeddings) to analyze customer requirements and design precise prompts
  • Simplify complex workflows into digestible conversational components
  • Fine-tune conversational flows and voice output (SSML, Lexicons, Regex)
  • Build and configure integrations between customer systems and Parloa's platform via integration platforms and APIs (CRMs, ERPs, ticketing systems, contact center platforms)
  • Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineers on complex integration scenarios
  • Apply structured testing to validate AI agent behavior, quality, and performance
  • Document best practices, how-to guides, and product capabilities

Who you are:

  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise customer-facing roles, with proven expertise in conversation design and AI agent development
  • Ability to analyze customer requirements and craft LLM prompts aligned with desired outcomes
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with initiative and results orientation
  • Proficiency with advanced prompting strategies (chain-of-thought, few-shot learning)
  • Strong project and stakeholder management
  • Analytical and critical thinker with risk assessment and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with API authentication patterns (OAuth, API keys, JWT), data transformation and field mapping logic
  • Proficiency in REST API design, JSON/XML data structures, API testing tools (Postman)
  • Experience reading and consuming API documentation across enterprise SaaS platforms
  • Exceptional attention to detail and logical thinking
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methods

Nice to have:

  • Experience building custom connectors via integration platforms (Paragon/TypeScript)
  • Git version control and CI/CD experience
  • Familiarity with middleware architecture

Compensation: $113,000–$129,000 USD OTE (base + variable + equity).
