About the Role
BIT Capital | Principal Engineer (Data & Platform) | Berlin, Germany | ONSITE (2 days/week) | Full-time
Looking for experienced engineers to build and scale infrastructure and data platforms for a Berlin asset management fund. We are betting big on AI to drive investment returns and build the best infrastructure to support our high alpha targets (track record >30% p.a. since inception).
You'll design large-scale data pipelines, evolve our lakehouse architecture, strengthen data quality and observability, and build infrastructure for AI/LLM workflows (agentic scaffolding, RAG, LLMOps, AI for engineering). We are looking for a hands-on technical leader, that is steering initiatives end-to-end while staying deep in implementation.
We have our roots in tech entrepreneurship (Jan Beckers), and this mindset still dominates our work culture, even as a regulated financial institution. We are a team of ~40 with a flat hierarchy, hands-on leadership, fast-paced decisions, and a little nerdy culture as people are actually passionate about their work.
