AI Architect / Engineer (Agentic AI & LLM Architecture)

Talan Data x AI is hiring a hands-on AI Architect / Engineer to design and build agentic AI and LLM systems at enterprise scale across multiple concurrent client engagements. You will design agentic architectures and multi-agent orchestration patterns, defining how LLMs, tools, APIs and retrieval layers interact reliably. You will define LLM integration and prompting strategies, including RAG, fine-tuning, evaluation and guardrailing approaches, and bring MLOps/LLMOps practices (observability, testability, production readiness) to bear.

This is a hands-on architectural role, not a purely advisory one: you are expected to remain close to the code and prototype where it accelerates a decision. Tech includes Python, cloud engineering, vector databases, knowledge graphs, advanced retrieval techniques, CI/CD for models, monitoring/evaluation tooling, and cost optimization. Agent frameworks: LangGraph, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel.

Experience: minimum 5 years AI architecture/engineering (10+ preferred), production deployment track record, strong cloud and MLOps expertise, consulting/professional services experience preferred.

Locations: UK wide (London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham). Permanent, full-time. Must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction (no visa sponsorship).
