About the Role
Booz Allen Hamilton is looking for a highly skilled Agentic AI Engineer specializing in building autonomous, goal-oriented AI systems. The focus is on shifting AI strategy from passive LLM chatbots to proactive, multi-agent orchestrations.
Primary duties include designing intelligent agent architectures using LangChain, LangGraph, and AutoGen, deploying multi-agent systems with MCP and Agent-to-Agent protocols, building RAG pipelines that integrate unstructured data with Knowledge Graphs, fine-tuning Small Language Models for edge deployment (ONNX, GGML, Ollama), and developing evaluation frameworks for agent reliability and safety.
Required qualifications: 5+ years software development experience. 2+ years with GenAI, LLMs, and agentic workflows. Proficiency with LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, or LlamaIndex. Knowledge of MCP and Agent-to-Agent collaboration. RAG and Knowledge Graph experience (Neo4j, NebulaGraph). LLM/SLM fine-tuning via Hugging Face, PEFT, or LoRA. Bachelor's in Computer Science or AI. Secret clearance eligibility.
Salary: $99,000 - $225,000. Work model: Hybrid in Washington, DC (also Bethesda, MD and McLean, VA).
