Agent Workflow
Designing multi-step agent coordination systems with planning, memory management, tool invocation, and escalation protocols for clinical AI agents that analyze patient data and recommend care interventions.
About the Role
Cadence Solutions is building a remote care delivery system that keeps older people healthy, out of the hospital, and at home through AI-powered clinical workflows and dedicated clinical teams.
This Senior AI Engineer role involves designing, building, and deploying production AI agents for healthcare that analyze clinical data and recommend proactive care interventions.
Responsibilities include architecting and implementing clinical AI agents capable of analyzing patient context and generating care suggestions, ensuring reliability, observability, and cost optimization for LLM workflows at scale, constructing and fine-tuning RAG systems using clinical knowledge sources and real-time patient information, creating comprehensive evaluation frameworks encompassing benchmarks, safety validation, and regression testing integrated into CI/CD pipelines, designing multi-step agent coordination systems with planning, memory management, tool invocation, and escalation protocols, and partnering with clinical, product, and engineering stakeholders.
Requires Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS or Engineering, 5+ years software engineering, 2+ years building production AI/ML systems, hands-on LLM API proficiency (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source), RAG systems and vector database expertise, and fast-paced environment experience with end-to-end ownership.
Nice-to-have: agent framework or orchestration pattern expertise, model fine-tuning (SFT, RLHF, LoRA), healthcare or regulated industry background (HIPAA, SOC 2).
Remote role. $180,000-$245,000 annual base salary plus equity, comprehensive benefits, unlimited PTO, and paid parental leave.
