About the Role
Grafana Labs is hiring a Staff AI Engineer to architect AI-driven systems supporting People operations. This is a remote role for U.S. candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and build intelligent workflows integrating BigQuery, Workday, Greenhouse, and other HR platforms
- Design scalable data pipelines and AI systems for sensitive employee data
- Establish responsible AI governance, anonymization, and data privacy practices
- Mentor engineers and set technical direction across the People organization
- Build agent workflows and LLM-powered automation that operate against internal data sources
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years engineering or data engineering experience
- 2+ years working with AI/ML systems or LLM workflows
- Deep GCP and BigQuery expertise
- Strong Python and SQL
- Hands-on experience with LLM platforms (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude)
- Experience with sensitive data governance and anonymization
- Bonus: workflow automation tools (Zenphi, n8n, Workato, Zapier, Make)
Location & Compensation
Remote within the U.S. Base salary: $174,986 - $209,983 USD plus equity (RSUs).
