Staff AI Engineer | US | Remote

Grafana Labs is hiring a Staff AI Engineer to architect AI-driven systems supporting People operations. This is a remote role for U.S. candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and build intelligent workflows integrating BigQuery, Workday, Greenhouse, and other HR platforms
• Design scalable data pipelines and AI systems for sensitive employee data
• Establish responsible AI governance, anonymization, and data privacy practices
• Mentor engineers and set technical direction across the People organization
• Build agent workflows and LLM-powered automation that operate against internal data sources

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years engineering or data engineering experience
• 2+ years working with AI/ML systems or LLM workflows
• Deep GCP and BigQuery expertise
• Strong Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with LLM platforms (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude)
• Experience with sensitive data governance and anonymization
• Bonus: workflow automation tools (Zenphi, n8n, Workato, Zapier, Make)

Location & Compensation
Remote within the U.S. Base salary: $174,986 - $209,983 USD plus equity (RSUs).
