Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack — New Verticals

ROLE OVERVIEW

We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer, New Verticals to build new products and capabilities for the legal industry from first principles. This is a deeply technical, end-to-end engineering role for someone who is excited to own ambiguous, high-leverage problems across the full stack. You'll work on greenfield and early-stage product areas spanning user-facing applications, backend services, data systems, document and knowledge pipelines, and agentic workflows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design and build production systems end-to-end across frontend, backend, APIs, data models, and developer tooling
• Develop new vertical product capabilities involving document ingestion, workflow orchestration, retrieval, structured outputs, agent frameworks, and human-in-the-loop review flows
• Build and operate data-intensive systems including ETL pipelines, analytical data models, serving layers
• Work across a modern stack: Python, TypeScript, SQL, cloud infrastructure, agent orchestration engines, data processing platforms, analytical databases
• Define service boundaries, schema design, and system architecture
• Build evaluation, monitoring, and feedback systems

WHAT YOU HAVE

• 5+ years building and operating production software
• Strong engineering fundamentals across backend systems, APIs, data modeling, and at least one modern frontend stack
• Experience building full-stack products (not just isolated services or UI layers)
• Experience with data pipelines, analytical systems, or document-heavy workflows (schema design, ETL, query performance, data reliability)
• Experience building AI-powered or workflow-driven applications: retrieval systems, agentic workflows, orchestration layers, evaluation pipelines, structured generation systems
• Ability to debug complex production systems using logs, metrics, traces, dashboards

COMPENSATION

$200,000 – $260,000 USD base, plus equity and bonus.
