Staff / Senior AI Product Engineer

Productboard is entering an exciting phase with Productboard Spark, its AI-first, agentic experience that transforms how product teams work. The company is looking for a Staff / Senior AI Product Engineer to shape the next generation of product management with LLMs, agentic workflows, and scalable infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop AI-powered product features and enhance the internal tech stack
• Make codebases AI-ready by defining module boundaries and improving API contracts
• Design agent workflows supporting multi-step reasoning and autonomous task execution
• Run experiments and validate with users, measuring learning velocity
• Collaborate with product and design teams on strategic decisions
• Share knowledge across teams to elevate engineering standards

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of shipping scalable production systems
• Deep hands-on LLM experience including prompt design and context management
• Experience building agentic systems or advanced LLM workflows
• Builder mentality, ideally with founding engineer background
• Daily reliance on AI tools like Cursor and Claude Code
• Comfort with distributed systems and event-driven architectures
