Recent Series F funding supports expansion into frontier data generation and model evaluation.
About the team
The Forward Deployed Engineer joins the Generative AI Data Engine team, which produces RLHF data, human-generated training data, model evaluation, and safety alignment services. FDE roles involve building customer-facing infrastructure to deliver quality datasets with rapid turnaround.
Responsibilities
- Deliver data solutions directly supporting AI innovation at leading model-building organizations
- Engage daily with technical customers, translating requirements into solutions
- Full-stack development spanning frontend interfaces, backend systems, and infrastructure
- Rapid iteration and experimentation cycles responsive to evolving customer needs
- Shape engineering culture, team processes, and product direction
- Project scope ranges from large-scale system architecture to customer-facing application design
- Lead initiatives with growth trajectory toward senior leadership roles
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years relevant engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability shipping production-quality features at scale
- Strong independent and collaborative problem-solving capabilities
- Comfort in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Ability to translate business objectives into technical implementations
- Strong coding skills with clear communication
- Adaptability to generative AI landscape evolution
- Willingness to work in-person at SF or NYC offices
Preferred
- Large-scale data processing and distributed systems experience
- Machine learning and AI conceptual familiarity
- Enterprise customer engagement background
- Cloud infrastructure experience
Compensation
Base salary: $179,400 - $224,250 USD
