Applied AI Engineer, Agentic Workflows

Axiomatic AI seeks an Applied AI Engineer to bridge R&D and product teams. The role involves transforming research prototypes into production-ready AI systems, with focus on integrating LLM and agent-based workflows into real-world applications while maintaining reliability, reproducibility, and maintainability.

Core Responsibilities

• Own AI features through complete delivery cycle: design, implementation, rollout, iteration
• Build LLM workflows including tool-calling agents, structured outputs, and retrieval integrations
• Develop prompt strategies and participate in lightweight evaluations
• Write production-quality Python with comprehensive testing coverage
• Implement logging, tracing, and metrics for AI systems
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers on productionizing experiments

Required Skills

• 3+ years software engineering (Python preferred)
• Agent frameworks: LangChain, PydanticAI, or similar
• Prompt engineering and LLM evaluation techniques
• Production experience with LLMs (OpenAI API, HuggingFace)
• API/service development (FastAPI, REST, async Python)

Nice-to-have: CI/CD expertise (Docker, GitHub Actions), RAG architectures, real-time inference and streaming, ML/data engineering background, Knowledge Graphs.
