About the Role
Axiomatic AI seeks an Applied AI Engineer to bridge R&D and product teams. The role involves transforming research prototypes into production-ready AI systems, with focus on integrating LLM and agent-based workflows into real-world applications while maintaining reliability, reproducibility, and maintainability.
Core Responsibilities
- Own AI features through complete delivery cycle: design, implementation, rollout, iteration
- Build LLM workflows including tool-calling agents, structured outputs, and retrieval integrations
- Develop prompt strategies and participate in lightweight evaluations
- Write production-quality Python with comprehensive testing coverage
- Implement logging, tracing, and metrics for AI systems
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers on productionizing experiments
Required Skills
- 3+ years software engineering (Python preferred)
- Agent frameworks: LangChain, PydanticAI, or similar
- Prompt engineering and LLM evaluation techniques
- Production experience with LLMs (OpenAI API, HuggingFace)
- API/service development (FastAPI, REST, async Python)
Nice-to-have: CI/CD expertise (Docker, GitHub Actions), RAG architectures, real-time inference and streaming, ML/data engineering background, Knowledge Graphs.
Hybrid role in Barcelona, Spain or Boston, US. Open to remote. Competitive compensation with stock options, professional development, and conference access.
