About the Role
DHI Group (the company behind Dice) is looking for a Software Engineer AI to build high-impact product features for Dice's candidate experience platform using modern, cloud-native technologies. The team emphasizes AI-native development practices, expecting engineers to leverage AI coding assistants like Claude Code as core workflow components, automate repetitive tasks, and apply prompt engineering throughout the software lifecycle.
Short-term Responsibilities
- Gain familiarity with applications, services, tools, and infrastructure
- Establish technical ownership of features and systems
- Provide thoughtful code reviews and contribute to design discussions
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers
Long-term Expectations
- Drive technical excellence through scalable AI architecture
- Reduce technical debt and improve performance
- Own end-to-end product feature delivery
- Influence roadmap decisions aligned with business value
Key Requirements
- Node.js and TypeScript (production experience required)
- React or NextJS frameworks
- AWS infrastructure
- CI/CD pipelines with automated testing (Playwright)
- RESTful APIs
AI/ML Specialization
- Practical understanding of how to implement traditional Machine Learning models and LLMs in production
- LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, Vercel AI SDK, or LiteLLM
- Hands-on experience deploying LLM-powered features into production, such as LLM API calls, RAG systems, Vector Stores, and MCP Servers
- LLM guardrails, monitoring, and observability for production AI systems
Preferred
- GraphQL APIs
- Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Fargate)
- Experience working as an AI-native engineer including creating agent skill files, configuring and orchestrating subagents
- OOP/functional programming paradigms
- SaaS applications
- Logging/observability
- DevOps principles
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 annually plus 10% annual bonus
