About the Role

Next League is hiring an AI Solutions Engineer to design, build, and ship production AI systems for sports, entertainment, and league clients. You will work across the full lifecycle from architecture through production integration, operating as the technical lead on client engagements.

What you'll do:

AI Agent & LLM Engineering

  • Build AI agents, copilots, and RAG systems using leading frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, CrewAI).
  • Design tool-use patterns, function calling, and orchestration logic for multi-step agent workflows.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks and optimize prompts for production performance, cost, and reliability.

Computer Vision Engineering

  • Engineer computer vision pipelines for fan experiences.
  • Build content operations tooling (highlight detection, tagging, moderation).
  • Train and fine-tune vision models.

Production & Integration

  • Deploy systems with monitoring, MLOps, and enterprise governance.
  • Integrate AI into client platforms (CRM, ticketing, content management, marketing).
  • Optimize for cost and reliability at scale.

Client Engagement

  • Translate discovery into technical solutions, act as technical lead on engagements, and communicate tradeoffs clearly. Partner with Product Managers, data scientists, and client teams.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years shipping production AI/ML systems.
  • Strong Python; plus TypeScript, Node.js, or Go.
  • Hands-on agent/RAG and computer vision experience.
  • LLM API experience (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry).
  • System design fundamentals.

Stack: Python, TypeScript/Node.js/Go, cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), MLOps tooling, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector), video processing, AR/mobile (ARKit, ARCore, WebAR).

Contract-to-hire: starts hourly at $200/hr, converts to permanent salaried.
