Senior Product Software Engineer, Applied Technologies

Location: New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA
Salary Range: $210,000 - $240,000

The Opportunity

Enigma is expanding its product capabilities and seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer for the Applied Technologies team to architect and manage critical systems in financial crimes prevention and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build model-driven solutions for sanctions screening, AML, and fraud detection
• Build scalable, highly available, high-throughput, model-driven solutions deployed across cloud and on-premises environments
• Work with containers, cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure as code (Docker, AWS, Google Cloud, Terraform)
• Manage project timelines directly with stakeholders and team members
• Write highly readable, thoroughly tested code using Python and React
• Leverage AI-assisted tools and integrate LLM agents with MCP and API optimization
• Identify emerging problems and inspire collaborative team performance

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years in product development and engineering with client-facing work
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• Customer-focused mindset for real-world impact

Preferred Qualifications

• Track record leading product and solutions engagements end-to-end
• Extensive SaaS and data product engineering experience
• Comfortable with LLM agent integrations such as MCP, API calls, and query optimization
• Familiar with AI tools like Claude Code and Cursor
• Experience integrating proprietary algorithms for matching and entity resolution with custom LLM agents
