Senior Software Engineer (AI / LLM)

EvolutionIQ seeks a senior engineer to advance their medical synthesis product within the insurance AI sector. The candidate will design, build, and deploy AI-powered and LLM-driven features including extraction from medical documents and human-in-the-loop workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop hybrid ML solutions merging statistical models, LLMs, and retrieval systems
• Write performant, scalable code while optimizing production AI/ML systems
• Evaluate AI outputs collaboratively with data annotators and domain experts
• Translate cutting-edge research into production-grade, maintainable solutions
• Partner with product teams on rapid feature iteration

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years writing production Python code
• Minimum 1 year deploying LLM-powered products professionally
• Hands-on hybrid ML experience combining LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and vector search
• API service design within microservice architectures
• Strong evaluation skills for LLM outputs aligned with business outcomes
• Prompt engineering and fine-tuning expertise

Salary: $185,000-$235,000 base, plus annual bonus and RSU equity.
