About the Role
Designing and building core systems for Hopper's post-booking customer experience, working on HTS Assist, Hopper's flagship agentic AI platform, alongside internal agent tools and self-serve customer flows supporting millions of travelers across chat, voice, web, and partner channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Design backend/full-stack systems powering customer support platforms
- Develop scalable APIs, microservices, and orchestration logic for post-booking journeys
- Integrate external systems (telephony, CRM, identity, booking platforms)
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years software engineering experience
- Distributed systems/APIs/cloud infrastructure expertise
- Database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
Preferred
- Conversational AI and LLM orchestration experience
- Customer service platform background
- Scala, Python, React, TypeScript
Locations: United States, Spain, and Canada
