About the Role

Designing and building core systems for Hopper's post-booking customer experience, working on HTS Assist, Hopper's flagship agentic AI platform, alongside internal agent tools and self-serve customer flows supporting millions of travelers across chat, voice, web, and partner channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design backend/full-stack systems powering customer support platforms
  • Develop scalable APIs, microservices, and orchestration logic for post-booking journeys
  • Integrate external systems (telephony, CRM, identity, booking platforms)

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years software engineering experience
  • Distributed systems/APIs/cloud infrastructure expertise
  • Database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)

Preferred

  • Conversational AI and LLM orchestration experience
  • Customer service platform background
  • Scala, Python, React, TypeScript
