About the Role
Neon One is a nonprofit software leader since 2004. As an Agentic/AI Engineer, you will build AI-powered, serverless solutions that help nonprofits automate workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable serverless functions using Node.js/TypeScript and Vue micro front-ends
- Integrate large language models (LLMs) with agentic orchestration and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions
- Develop and optimize prompts for improved model accuracy
- Support legacy PHP/Laravel applications during modernization
- Utilize AWS AI services for feature deployment
- Implement PrimeVue design system standards
- Participate in code reviews and maintain security standards
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years full-stack software engineering with TypeScript and Node.js
- Exposure to machine learning, agentic AI, or building and deploying AI systems
- AWS and serverless technology experience
- Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Willingness to work with PHP/Laravel legacy systems
Nice to Have
- Experience building AI Agents and associated technologies like MCP, RAG, and Agentic Patterns
- Client-facing UI development expertise
- Nonprofit sector experience or passion
Salary: CA$110K-CA$135K (Canada); $80K-$100K USD (Brazil/New Zealand)
