About the Role
Payhawk (Bulgaria's first unicorn, global spend management platform operating in 32 countries) is hiring an Applied AI Engineer for its foundational AI team in Sofia.
You'll design and implement autonomous AI agents that leverage LLMs for reasoning, planning, and decision-making, and build multi-agent systems where LLMs collaborate to solve tasks. Responsibilities include deploying intelligent systems in production, building evaluation pipelines, prompt engineering, and staying current with advancements in foundation models.
You'll work directly with Radoslav Georgiev alongside a tight team (Nikolina Gyurova, Todor Todorov, Atanas Vasilev). Stack references include GPT, LLaMA, Gemma, transformer-based architectures, and GCP.
Key requirements:
- Experience designing and shipping autonomous agents and multi-agent systems.
- Strong ML fundamentals and LLM systems experience.
- Production-level GenAI deployment.
- Prompt engineering, memory and context management, evaluation.
