AI Engineer - Remote Europe

Reedsy is a publishing platform seeking an AI Engineer to help empower authors by building intelligent features that support storytelling and streamline workflows — enhancing creativity, not replacing it.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-powered tools for authors (e.g., a narrative co-pilot, visual storyboarding assistant)
• Improve internal workflows by automating repetitive tasks and enhancing UX across products
• Build internal tools for AI development, including evaluation benchmarks and automated testing
• Collaborate with teams to identify AI opportunities

Required Skills

• Proven experience integrating AI/ML into production systems
• Experience working with large language models (prompt engineering, fine-tuning, model selection, retrieval-augmented generation)
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom chaining frameworks)
• Knowledge of hallucination detection and mitigation strategies
• Cloud platform experience (preferably GCP)
• Embeddings and vector database knowledge
• AI developer tooling experience

Salary: EUR 70,000 - EUR 120,000 + equity (0% - 0.2%)

Location: Remote Europe (UK primary, with secondary locations in France, Poland, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal).
