Senior/Lead AI Software Engineer, Agentforce for Supply Chain

Join a startup-within-Salesforce operating with high velocity following a recent acquisition. The role offers autonomy of a small team with global scale backing. You'll develop a 0 to 1 product with founding engineers while leveraging Salesforce's Data Cloud and security infrastructure.

Agentforce for Supply Chain addresses the $13 trillion global supply chain market by replacing slow manual processes with an AI-powered platform for designing, automating, and running end-to-end business processes with email-based collaboration.

Key Responsibilities — Drive Agent Development & Architecture:

• Lead development of intelligent agents completing complex supply chain tasks reliably
• Spearhead architectural decisions for distributed systems serving millions with 24/7 availability
• Design planning systems enabling autonomous multi-step workflow execution
• Build production-grade software using modern engineering practices with AI as a core development tool
• Design systems integrating AI agents seamlessly into human workflows
• Contribute to shared system context repository documenting designs, constraints, and standards
• Evaluate code for correctness, quality, security, and performance
• Push boundaries of AI development tools for secure, optimized code

Lead Technical Strategy:

• Partner with Product and Executive Leadership translating business vision into multi-year technical roadmaps
• Guide technical decision-making for AI model deployment, safety constraints, and reliability frameworks
• Drive adoption of enterprise-grade observability tools and cloud infrastructure best practices

Mentor & Collaborate:

• Mentor engineers on code quality, AI/ML practices, and system design
• Collaborate with Design, Product Management, and industry experts
• Engage customers directly for insights and technical validation
• Participate in hiring and contribute to continuous learning culture

Requirements:

• B.S. Computer Science with AI coursework (M.S. preferred)
• 4-8 years (Senior) or 7-12 years (Lead) software engineering with AI/ML focus
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or C++
• Strong background in APIs, data modeling, and databases
• Proficiency with modern AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex)
• Experience with enterprise observability tools and AWS/GCP
• Demonstrated AI-first engineering approach
• Advanced prompt engineering skills

Compensation: Base $148,500 - $260,100 USD annually (San Francisco/NYC metro: $178,900 - $285,800).
