About the Role
SmartRecruiters (an SAP company as of 2025) is the Recruiting AI Company that transforms hiring, serving over 4,000 enterprises including Amazon, Visa, and McDonald's.
As a Senior AI Engineer, you will join the Chat Group building intelligent conversational systems for the recruiting industry. You will design and implement agent-based workflows combining language models with reasoning components, lead ML/NLP product development from conception through production deployment, experiment with novel approaches for agent reasoning and autonomous system coordination, integrate intelligent agents into recruiting workflows alongside product and engineering teams, mentor engineers and establish best practices for scalable ML infrastructure, and contribute to the NLP and conversational intelligence technology stack.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, ML, AI, NLP, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years deploying ML systems in production
- Demonstrated proficiency in NLP techniques, LLM fine-tuning, and model evaluation
- Advanced Python programming
- Experience building end-to-end ML pipelines
- Deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Fluent English
Preferred: hands-on experience with agentic workflows or autonomous AI systems, background in chatbots, conversational AI, or multi-agent systems.
