Software Engineer, AI SDK

Temporal Technologies is hiring a Software Engineer to build AI SDK features that help developers build reliable AI agents and applications on top of Temporal's durable execution platform.

What you will do:

• Design and implement Temporal AI SDK features supporting a broad variety of frameworks and libraries
• Develop deep expertise in AI application development techniques and emerging architectures
• Work across Python and TypeScript codebases
• Own features end-to-end with focus on reliability and developer experience
• Serve as a domain expert on AI design patterns and best practices, providing canonical examples to engineering and field teams
• Engage directly with the developer community for debugging and feedback
• Write technical documentation on Temporal concepts and APIs
• Make extensive use of AI coding tools, especially to ensure quality across the wide variety of frameworks and integrations

Requirements:

• 3+ years professional software engineering experience
• Passion for generative AI, particularly agents and coding
• Deep understanding of concurrent programming
• API design and documentation experience
• Fluency in multiple programming languages

Preferred: familiarity with Temporal's programming model, experience building AI agents, ML or distributed systems background.
