Principal Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Turing is hiring a Principal Forward Deployed AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent applications for Fortune 500 customers in a hands-on, customer-embedded role.

LOCATION

New York, NY (onsite).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and optimize LLM-based solutions, including model design, fine-tuning, deployment
• Own scalable Python codebases using LangChain/LangGraph and SQL
• Drive cloud deployment on AWS, Azure, or GCP with CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with product managers and data scientists on requirements translation
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
• Stay current with LLM advancements and emerging techniques

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years software/solutions engineering experience (customer-facing preferred)
• 2+ years building and deploying AI/ML models and systems
• 1+ year developing GenAI applications with prompt engineering, RAG, or agent frameworks
• Cloud platform expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Python proficiency with LangChain/LangGraph and SQL skills
• Proven team leadership ability
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

COMPENSATION

$180,000 – $220,000 USD base, plus equity.
