About the role
As a member of the Applied AI team at Anthropic, you will be a technical Product Engineer focused on becoming a trusted technical advisor to customers as they adopt Claude. You will work closely with customer product and engineering teams as they ship new products powered by Claude: advising on architecture design decisions, developing evaluation frameworks, and guiding customers through the most cutting edge implementation patterns for LLMs.
Working closely with our Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, you'll guide customers from technical discovery through successful deployment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical advisor to Anthropic customers as they deploy new products and workflows with our models, from discovery through deployment
- Partner with account executives to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Influence architecture decisions for products and workflows based on LLMs via API, including designing custom pilots, prototypes, and evaluation frameworks
- Lead technical workshops and code reviews with customer engineering teams
- Identify design patterns and contribute insights back to the product and engineering teams
- Stay current with LLM capabilities and implementation patterns, including prompt engineering, agent frameworks, and retrieval systems
- Travel occasionally to customer sites
- Present at conferences and author blog posts and whitepapers
Requirements
- 4+ years in technical roles (Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Software Engineer, or Technical Product Manager)
- Production experience with LLMs including prompt engineering, agents, and evaluation frameworks
- Strong Python proficiency and production application experience
- Expertise in LLM implementation patterns, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, and retrieval systems
- Commitment to safe, beneficial AI systems
- Exceptional communication skills

- Bachelor's degree minimum or equivalent experience
- Hybrid: minimum 25% in-office
