About the Role
Anthropic - Forward Deployed Engineer, Applied AI Munich, Germany (Hybrid) | Published February 18, 2026
As a member of the Applied AI team at Anthropic, you will be a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who embeds directly with our most strategic customers to drive transformational AI adoption.
Responsibilities:
- Build production applications using Claude models that meet customer requirements
- Deliver technical artifacts like MCP servers, sub-agents, and agent skills for production workflows
- Provide enterprise deployment support for Anthropic products
- Identify and codify repeatable deployment patterns
- Stay current with LLM developments
- Cultivate long-term customer relationships
- Frequent travel (25-50%) to customer sites
- Champion Anthropic's mission in enterprise environments
Requirements:
- 4+ years in technical customer-facing roles
- Native or C1 German speaker with fluent English proficiency
- Production LLM experience including prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks
- Python proficiency plus TypeScript, Java, or similar
- High agency navigating organizational complexity
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred: Financial services, healthcare, or enterprise IT background
Annual Salary: EUR205,000 - EUR220,000 Hybrid: 25% in-office minimum Visa sponsorship available
