Anthropic is seeking talented Software Engineers to join the Claude Developer Platform team and help build the world's most trusted AI platform for developers. The Claude API has seen rapid growth serving hundreds of thousands of developers.

Multiple team placement options:

• API Core: Reliable foundational intelligence via the Claude API
• API Capabilities: Shipping frontier capabilities including vision, tool use, and computer use
• API Knowledge: Transforming Claude into a knowledge worker with data access and retrieval
• API Distributability: Making Claude API cloud-native and cross-cloud deployable
• Developer Experience: Building tools to help developers harness LLMs
• API Agents: Building infrastructure and APIs for powerful agentic applications including tool use, multi-step reasoning, and long-running task execution
• Platform Intelligence: Building training systems that adapt Claude to specific customer workloads

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement products for the Claude API serving hundreds of thousands of developers
• Partner with research teams to productize cutting-edge model capabilities
• Participate in API design reviews
• Collaborate cross-functionally
• Support production issues through on-call rotations
• Design operational processes

Requirements:

• 8+ years industry experience; 3+ years leading large-scale projects or teams
• Passionate about designing tasteful APIs and developer-focused products
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and API architecture
• Excellent communication skills
• Tech Stack: Python, GCP, Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL

Preference for candidates based in New York or San Francisco Bay Area.

Annual Salary: $320,000 - $405,000 USD Visa sponsorship available
