Agentic AI Engineer

Apheris builds AI solutions for pharmaceutical R&D, operating the industry's largest federated data networks for drug discovery AI across three collaborative networks: the AI Structural Biology Network, the ADMET Network, and the Antibody Developability Network.

We are hiring an Agentic AI Engineer to transform Apheris into an AI-first company through internal agentic workflows. You will build a unified data foundation connecting meeting transcripts, email, Slack, CRM systems, Confluence, product documentation, and external signals. The role emphasizes shipping working prototypes quickly while establishing reliable internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop an AI-first internal data foundation across fragmented sources
• Design pragmatic data pipelines and retrieval systems optimized for LLM access
• Build agentic workflows for pre-meeting briefings, automated debriefs, customer feedback extraction, competitive intelligence, and decision dashboards
• Drive workflow transformation across commercial, product, and leadership teams
• Transition prototypes into production-ready systems
• Implement secure, non-destructive agent systems with process isolation and strict permissions

Requirements

• 2-4 years in applied AI, data systems, or building internal agentic tools
• Proficiency with LLMs, retrieval-augmented systems, and agent frameworks
• Strong data engineering skills (pipeline design, structured data layers)
• Experience building agentic workflows with integrated data sources
• Familiarity with agent systems like Claude Code or similar
• Fluent English; German optional
